Information We Collect

Technical Information

When you use IN8NESS, we automatically collect certain technical details including your IP address, device identifiers, browser type, pages you view, and how you use the site.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and any profile information you choose to provide. You're welcome to use a pseudonym where permitted.

Assessment Data

We collect and store your responses to personality assessments, the scores we calculate, and the reports we generate for you.

Purchase Information

If you purchase products or services, we collect transaction details such as billing information, country of residence, and purchase history. Payment card information is processed securely by our third-party payment provider and never stored on our servers.

Studies and Research

IN8NESS supports invitation-only research studies created by other users (called "Study Coordinators"). If you choose to participate in a study, here's what happens with your data:

  • Your individual assessment responses and raw scores will be shared with the Study Coordinator
  • Depending on how the study is configured, your username and email address may also be shared
  • Study Coordinators can export study data for external analysis and keep it indefinitely

Important: Once assessment data is shared as part of a study, it cannot be revoked, deleted, or retrieved. We don't control how exported data is used, stored, or secured. Study Coordinators act as independent data controllers and are responsible for their own compliance obligations.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the IN8NESS platform
  • Score your assessments and generate your reports
  • Facilitate study participation and data sharing (as disclosed to you)
  • Communicate with you about your account, purchases, or support requests
  • Analyze aggregated and anonymized data to improve our services and for research and product development

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We may share your information:

  • With Study Coordinators — as disclosed to you before you participate in a study
  • With service providers — such as payment processors and analytics providers, as necessary to operate the site
  • When required by law — to comply with legal processes or to protect rights and safety

Except as described above, we don't share your personal information with third parties.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information stored on our systems, including encryption and secure access controls.

We do not store full payment card details. Payment information is processed securely by Stripe.

Please note: We cannot guarantee the security of data once it has been exported or stored outside our systems by Study Coordinators.
